Our History
The proud legacy of our Agency dates back to 1992, when the business was established under the then Nationwide Franchise by Stan Smith and his business partners.
The business commenced trading as Prime Properties in 1998, and in 2003, Stan's wife, Bev Smith, took over management of the rental department. The sales department operated independently until May 2008, when it merged with the rental department, resulting in the entire Real Estate business operations of Prime Properties (now The Agency) being managed by Stan and Bev Smith, united together.
Todd Brandon joined the partnership during this time, and is now the Principal. On the 1st December 2022, we were looking for the right opportunity to expand and offer more to our loyal client base, which is why we made the decision to become a part of the highly respected The Agency Group. We changed our name to The Agency Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast.
We have become synonymous with the community through our active contributions in the local area.
Since then, Bev has expanded the rental business by nearly 300% in six years to the extent that the rent roll now manages more than a quarter of a Billion Dollars' worth of Real Estate in the Rockhampton Region.

Our Agency will remain a locally owned and run business with strong values- one that is as proud of its heritage as it is of the future that looms so brightly ahead!
